It is reported that Cement companies are all set to increase the prices of cement by about Rs 15 per bag. It is learned that Ambuja Cement and Associated Cement Companies (ACC) have sent telephonic messages to their retail dealers throughout the state in this regard.
After political pressure from the opposition Congress, Govt., has forced cement companies to slash the prices of cement by Rs 20 per bag in the state in January. However barely after couple of months these companies are increasing the prices of it.
A bag of cement is likely to be cost Rs 323 per bag in the retail market after the price hike. Interestingly cost of cement bags in neighboring states are less then Himachal even after these companies are using state resources to make it.
