A Spokesman of the State Government said that the Government was seized of the matter regarding the demands of the Head Masters Association regarding regularization of headmasters promoted on ad-hoc basis as Principals. He said that since the procedure of regularization need to be done through Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission and on account of procedural requirement, this process was likely to take some time owing to voluminous information namely Integrity Certificates of the all eligible Headmasters, list of eligible Headmasters who have been promoted on adhoc basis, list of Headmasters facing departmental action/vigilance enquiry and the complete ACR folders of the incumbents. However the Department has been asked to finalize the same by December, 2011, he said.

He further said that regarding the matter of ceiling of age of 57 years for promotion as Deputy Directors, the matter of creation of the inspection Staff and the renaming of the post of Principal DIET as Deputy Director, Director Higher Education will be having a meeting with the representatives of the Head Masters’ Association on 14 October, 2011 and will submit the report to the Government.
