DC Chamba Devesh Kumar discloses that the entry point at Tunnuhatti on the Chamba-Pathankot national highway on the border of Chamba district will now be kept on the surveillance of CCTV cameras which will focus on the activities of the people who are involved in frequent trafficking of charas and narcotics, besides other illegal activities. In the past many cases had been reported and culprits escape without noticing. With the installation of CCTV cameras it’ll be eases to police to nab them. Regarding it Rs 3.5 lakh had been sanctioned for this scheme and the work to install CCTV had been assigned to the police department. Footage will be shared with the District Magistrate and SP, Chamba that will also help to make it more effective.
