Chief Parliamentary Secretary Sukh Ram Chaudhary, said that the State Government has started many welfare schemes for sheep breeders and farmers to strengthen economy in the State. Chaudhary was presiding over the Sheep Breeders Training Camp organized under National Agriculture Development Scheme, at Dhaulakuan in Sirmaur. The State Government has recently launched ‘Bhed Palak Samridhi Yojna’ for the welfare of sheep breeders of the State under which a loan of Rs. one lakh will be provided to shepherds for purchase of 40 sheep and two rams, out of which Rs. 33,300 is subsidy. He said that the state government has filled many posts of Agriculture Extension and Development Officers by direct recruitment. Further, Chaudhary assured that every panchayat will have veterinary dispensaries under the ‘Mukhyamatri Pashudhan Arogya Yojna.’
