A spokesman of the Health Department informed here today that State Government had issued directions to the Health Department to provide beds to Thalassemia patients in all the District and State Hospitals on priority. He said that minimum two beds would be reserved for these patients in every hospital.
He further said that blood would be made available to them by authorities itself. He said that free medicine and treatment facilities were available to these patients and added that various NGOs and other organizations were also holding blood donation camps etc. for collecting blood. He said that wheel chair/trollies would also be provided to them in case lift was not available.
