Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh on second day of his visit to Solan district today inaugurated and laid Foundation stone of projects worth Rs 24 crore. He laid foundation stone for augmentation of multipurpose Agriculture Produce Management block to be constructed with an outlay of Rs 10 crore at Parwanoo and also laid foundation stone of augmentation of Drinking Water Supply Scheme at Parwanoo under Urban Infrastructure Development Scheme for Small and Medium Towns to be constructed with an outlay of Rs. 7.27 crore.
Chief Minister also inaugurated Car parking at Parwanoo constructed at a cost of Rs. 48 lakh and will have parking facility for 70 small vehicles, besides laying foundation stone of Community Hall at Parwanoo to be completed at cost of Rs 32 Lakh. He inaugurated Agriculture Produce Marketing Yard completed at a cost of Rs 1.32 crore on outskirts of Parwanoo.
Chief Minister laid foundation stone of Science Block in Government Senior Secondary School, Bhojnagar to be completed with an estimated cost of Rs. 82.37 lakh. He also inaugurated Community Health Centre building Dharampur constructed at a cost of Rs. 1.21 crore.
Earlier, the Chief Minister while addressing a public meeting at Parwanoo announced Tipra Village to be taken out of TCP area and connecting it by a link road from sector-1 at Parwanoo.
The Chief Minister was given a warm welcome on the way and he also listened to the grievances of the people en-route Parwanoo to Shimla.
Irrigation and Public Health Minister Vidya Stokes, Agriculture and MPP Minister Sujan Singh Pathania, Industries Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, Urban Development Minister Sudhir Sharma, Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Col (Dr.) Dhani Ram Shandil, Chairman, HP Agriculture Marketing Board Subhash Manglet, Chairman, HP Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, Bawa Hardeep Singh, Vice-Chairman Planning Board, Gangu Ram Musafir, Vice-Chairman Khadi Board Ramesh Chauhan, Chairman Jogindera Bank Mohan Mehta, Deputy Commissioner Madan Chauhan, SP Ramesh Chhajta were also present on the occasion among senior officers of the district administration.
