Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal laid foundation stone of multi storeyed parking for different departments at Kullu district headquarters to be constructed at a cost of Rs. one crore today. While addressing the gathering at Dhalpur, CM said that State Government would be considering enhancement in honorarium of Gramin Rojgar Sahyaks from Rs. 1800 to Rs. 3600 per month.

Chief Minister added that State Government had provided record financial package of Rs. 7500 crore to the employees of the State during its current regime besides clearing promotional backlog of almost all the categories of employees in various departments of the State. He said that State Government considered employees as its backbone, who have been instrumental in implementation of policies and programmes envisioned by the Government. He said that State Government was giving all the benefits to its employees from time to time. He said that almost every category of the employees whether regular, contractual or daily wagers had been benefited immensely. He said that daily wages which were Rs. 75 at the time when BJP came into power had been doubled to Rs. 150 and similar was the case with other different categories of the employees. He said that the State Government had cleared the pending arrears to its employees while the neighbouring State of Punjab had yet to pay 70 percent arrear to their employees. He said that BJP Government had already paid 20 percent interim relief to its employees before the implementation of the Pay Commission report which they had been asking whereas the previous Congress Government had not provided them even 5 percent interim relief. .

Prem Kumar Dhumal said that State Government had enhanced the promotional quota of Anganwari workers who were about 35000 in strength from 50 percent to 75 percent and had further decided to increase the same to 90 percent for paving way for their promotion to next higher position of supervisor in the department. He asked the employees to compare the benefits BJP Government had delivered to them with those given by the Congress Government and take conscious decision on their own level to judge as to who were their real benefactor.

Chief Minister announced Rs. 50 lakh for repair and maintenance of Mini Secretariat at Dhalpur Kullu and Rs. 50 lakh for construction of Indoor Stadium at the district headquarter. He also sanctioned Rs. 30 lakh additionally for proposed combined office parking. Gobind Thakur, MLA welcomed the Chief Minister and thanked for record development and liberal funds provided for the developmental activities during last four and a half years thereby setting a new record in the developmental history of district Kullu.
