Senior BJP leader and leader of opposition Prem Kumar Dhumal has accused the state government for presenting wrong version of the Beas tragedy to the people and report of divisional Commissioner Mandi proved it
Dhumal, in his press communiqué, said that he had visited the site on the second day of the incident and met local people who told that Larji power project authorities had not issued any warning to the people about the release of water that washed and drowned 24 engineering students from Hyderabad.
Former Chief Minister alleged that Virbhadra Singh has taken the entire episode lightly and without verifying the facts, he gave a clean chit to the dam authorities.
Dhumal said that the report of the divisional commissioner has depicted the real position of whole incident and for that the state government should own the responsibility and take strong action against guilty.
