Kullu police have arrested 56 suspicious persons during the last two days in the valley. Police said that these all arrested persons have failed to prove their identity and is a part of preventive measures in connection with the forthcoming assembly elections

On Sunday, 10 suspicious people were arrested from Bhunter and 20 were arrested from Kullu. On Saturday, 12 persons were arrested from Kullu, 10 from Bhunter and 4 from Manali. Cases under sections 41 (2) and 109 of CrPC Act have been registered against the accused.

Kullu superintendent of police, Ashok Kumar, said that police are keeping a close watch over movement of people and suspicious persons are being checked for their identification.
