The Election Commission’s latest directive of disallowing Dussehra grounds for political activities is proving to be an impediment this year. Such grounds and auspicious period were usually a safe bet for politicians to hold election campaigns on open grounds.

Most of politicians are in a fix with campaigns going on in full swing being restricted due to the festivities, which has great cultural importance in the hill state. With the latest directive from EC, electors will now become tough to reach.

The Election Commission is keeping no stone unturned to ensure the directive is duly practised and will be keeping a strict eye on politicians trying to violate the rule. However, politicians will have to accept the EC’s directive and will have to use other tactics to woo voters in this poll.
