State Government had identified alternate land for setting up of Spice park in Nadaun and the process to start development work of the site was being expedited. This was stated by CM Prem Kumar Dhumal, while addressing an public meeting at Sera in Nadaun Sub-Division of district Hamirpur, after he dedicated newly constructed Narain Chand Prashar Primary Health Centre, completed at a cost of Rs. 66 lakh, to the residents of the area, new complex of Government High School, Rangas, completed at a cost of Rs. 45.86 lakh, to the students of the school, today. Earlier, he also performed foundation stone laying ceremony of bridge over Sangari Khad at Kasiri Mahadev in Kot Panchayat, estimated to cost Rs. 77.88 lakh. He said that the State Government had taken effective steps for setting up of the Spice Park at the earliest in Nadaun area and had identified suitable land at Bara.

Prof. Dhumal claimed that the State Government had carried development by rising above political considerations and delivered benefits to every family irrespective of their political affiliations. He said that Rs. 98 crore irrigation scheme had been sanctioned for Nadaun area to give boost to cash crop cultivation and strengthen economy of farming community. He said that two branches of Kangra Central Cooperative Bank would also be opened at Basaral and Badaran. He sanctioned funds for construction of various link roads in the area.

Prof. Dhumal said that PHC Sera had been named after late N.C.Prashar, as a tribute to him, who hailed from the area and had represented the area at Centre and State. He paid tributes to late Prashar and remembered his qualities as a statesman. He announced Rs. 20 lakh for channelization of the adjoining Nallah and construction of boundary wall to the PHC.

Chief Minister also laid foundation of Lift Irrigation Scheme at Kushiar Galol, estimated to cost Rs. 100.18 lakhs and dedicated newly constructed Ayurvedic Health Centre at Jhallan, completed at a cost of Rs. 10 lakh to the people of the area.

Baldev Sharma, MLA Nadaunta, said that two major drinking water supply and irrigation schemes worth Rs. 135 crore had been sanctioned for Nadaun area by Prem Kumar Dhumal during his current regime. He said that Nadaun segment, although represented by MLA of opposition party, had been provided liberal funds for various developmental activities. He thanked Chief Minister for approval of Dhaneta-Bangana tunnel to connect both districts.

Vijay Agnihotri, Vice President, Hamirpur district BJP, thanked Chief Minister for the record development in Nadaun area. He thanked for selecting Amtar in Nadaun for development of a world standard cricket stadium.

Brig.(Rtd.) Lal Chand Jaswal, welcomed the Chief Minister to his native village and thanked him for dedicating the PHC building to the people. He detailed developmental milestones established in the area during current regime and thanked the Chief Minister for the same.
