Himachal Institute of Public Administration (HIPA) in collaboration with National Institute of Rural Development (NIRD), Hyderabad organized a four day Training of Trainers (ToT) Programme on “Training Methods and Skills”.

The training programme was inaugurated by the Additional Chief Secretary Ajay Mittal. As many as 40 faculty members of various State and Regional Institute of Rural Developments, Extension Training Centres, Panchayati Raj Training Centres of Regional and Northern States i.e. Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh participated in the training programme. The trainees were familiarized with the innovative training methods to upgrade and enhance their knowledge, skill and attitude for conducting training programmes effectively.

Dr. D. Bidari and Dr. N.K. Reddy from NIRD and Local faculties facilitated various sessions on training process, session planning, communication skills, participatory training methods and evaluation techniques of training.

Dinesh Malohtra, Director, HIPA in his valedictory address emphasized the use of new methods and techniques in imparting training. He said that by implementing and adopting new technologies in office management, public administration can become more effective.
