State BJP protested against the price hike of diesel and alleged that the UPA regime is insensitive towards the plight of the common man. The state unit of BJP demanded a rollback in the hiked prices of cooking gas and diesel, as it would lead to an overall jump in prices.

State BJP spokesperson Ashok Kapatia said today that the low-income groups were already finding the going tough, but with the latest hike even the middle class would feel the pinch in running the house.

He said the UPA regime had come to the power on the promise that it would check price rise within 100 days of being voted to power, but it had let down the faith reposed by the people in their government.
