In order to provide transparent, responsive and time-bound services to the common man, the State Revenue department has taken an initiative by notifying various services and stipulated the time limit pertaining to the department for ensuring the effective implementation of the Himachal Pradesh Public Services Guarantee Bill, 2011.

Revenue Minister Thakur Gulab Singh said that the present State Government is committed to provide effective and efficient administration to the people of the State. He said that Revenue department being directly related to the masses has taken a lead in notifying the time limit for providing various services. He said that Patwaris would provide copies of revenue records, reports for issuance of various certificates and entry of mutation on same day, if sought on Monday, Wednesday or Friday; otherwise the same would be supplied on the next working day.

Revenue Minister said that reports of damages due to any natural calamities would be provided within seven days. He said that Tehsildar/Naib Tehsildars have been designated as first appellate authority, in case of any complaint. He said that various certificates and attestation of affidavits/Power of Attorneys to be issued/given by Tehsildar/Naib Tehsildars would be issued/given or refused with a speaking order on the same day, if officer is present, otherwise they would be issued on the next working day.

Thakur Gulab Singh said that registration of deeds/documents to be done by Tehsildar/Naib Tehsildars would be accepted or refused on the same day in case the officer is present in the office. He said that in case the concerned officer was on field visit, the same would be issued on the next working day. He said that the State Government has designated Sub Division Officer (Civil) as the first appellate Authority.

Revenue Minister said that the State Government has directed the Parwaris to remain in office on Monday, Wednesday and Friday so that the people do not face any inconvenience. He said that in case, they are on field visit, information regarding same would have to be displayed on the notice board in the concerned Patwarkhana.
