Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal dedicated the newly constructed PWD Rest House at Lanjyana in Nadaunta assembly segment of Hamirpur district to the people of the area. PWD Rest House is completed at a cost of Rs. 37 lakh.

Chief Minister presided over the ‘Prashasan Janta Ke Dwar Par’ programme at Lanjyana where he listened to the public grievances of the people of the area who had assembled in large number from adjoining villages to address their problems in person to the Chief Minister. About 150 applications were registered out of which majority were disposed off on the spot in consultation with concerned officers present on the occasion. He directed the authorities to ensure that required relief was delivered to the aggrieved parties on priority besides disposing off remaining applications within the allotted time frame.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that the State Government was committed to rise to the call of the common man and provide him every opportunity to progress ahead and solve his genuine problems on priority. He said that he had been traveling all over the State and meeting people regularly to listen to their grievances thereby saving their time and money which they otherwise would have spent on coming to Shimla for the purpose. He said that under ‘Prashasan Janta Ke Dwar Par’ programme, every authority down to the gram panchayat level had been directed to accord high priority to the grievances of the people. He said that the programme had been successful since majority of problems were being solved at the appropriate level itself. He reiterated the resolve of the Government to provide them efficient, transparent and responsive corruption free administration.

Baldev Sharma, local MLA welcomed the Chief Minister and thanked him for his visit to his home segment. Ravinder Singh Ravi, Irrigation and Public Health Minister, M.C. Parmar, Chairman-cum- Managing Director, H.P. State Ex-Servicemen Welfare Corporation, Pyare Lal Sharma, Chairman, APMC, Desh Raj Sharma, President, District Hamirpur BJP and other prominent people and senior officers were present on the occasion.
