Himachal Pradesh Government has constituted a Climate Change Cell in Irrigation and Public Health Department. Chief Engineer (D&M) will be its Chairman, Representative of Director Industries, Representative of Director Urban Development, Representative of Director Agriculture, Representative of Pr. Chief Conservator of Forests, Representative of Director, RD&PR, Representative of Director Energy, Superintending Engineer (Hydrology), Nominee from H.P. Water Management and Superintending Engineer (P&I) will be its members.
This Climate Change Cell would provide necessary inputs and assistance to Monitoring Committee on any issue of impact of climate change on water resources. It would also coordinate this issue with all Climate Change Cells in National Institute of Hydrology, CWC, CGWB etc. for research and studies.
