Jaisinghpur Ground would be developed into a stadium by spending One crore to facilitate important celebrations in the area. Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal said it while addressing the closing ceremony of three-day long district level Dussehra Festival at Jaisinghpur. During the festival CM dedicated the newly constructed Combined Office Building constructed at a cost of Rs. 1.90 crore to the people of the sub-division. He paid his obeisance to the presiding deity, to the venue of the festival and was joined by prominent people of the area.

Chief Minister said that Dussehra symbolises victory of goodness over evil. He said that the festival was being organised in Jaisinghpur for the last about 14 years and from current year onwards it would be celebrated as State Level Festival. Dhumal said that the State had been liberal in providing funds for various developmental activities and it was under his tenure that record development had taken place in the segment. He said that this year’s Dussehra festival would also be remembered for the record developmental projects dedicated to the people of the area in a single day especially dedication of drinking water supply scheme which is largest scheme of the State.

Later CM also lit the effigy of Ravana to mark the Dussehra Festival, visited exhibition stalls put up by different departments and PSUs to mark the celebration. Chief Minister was presented a draft of Rs. 51,000 as contribution towards CM Relief Fund by Kulvinder Rana and Aanchal Rana, He also released the souvenir brought out by the organising committee to mark the celebration. Ravinder Singh Ravi, IPH Minister and local MLA, welcomed the Chief Minister and other dignitaries to the District Level Dussehra Festival celebration and thanked him for providing developmental schemes worth over Rs. 101 crore to the habitants of Jaisinghpur sub-division. He urged Chief Minister to declare Jaisinghpur Dussehra FEstival of State Level. He also thanked for providing liberal developmental funds for Jaisinghpur segment. Cap. Atma Ram, Rakesh Pathania, MLAs, Rasil Singh Mankotia, Chairman, Kangra Central Cooperative Bank, M.C.Parmar, CMD, Ex-Servicemen Corporation, Pyare Lal Sharma, Chairman, APMC, Hamirpur, Bhagwan Dass, Chairman of the Dussehra Organising Committee, R.S.Gupta, DC, Shri Diljeet Thakur, SP, R.K.Sharma, E-in-C, IPH, other senior officers and prominent people of the area were present on the occasion.
