Jawaharlal Nehru Engineering College is making to the news for all wrong reasons. College is shifted to the new building, but condition of the building is deplorable, even water has stagnant and it has shaped into the dirty pool. In the college there is no proper toilets for over 300 students and staff members as the IPH Department is yet to lay a sewer line. Lecture theatres, workshops, labs and rooms for the faculty are still not ready.

Director, Technical Education, Vijay Chandan said they had given 45 days’ time to the PWD to complete the work in the academic block, putting in place a sewer line, a substation and workshops and labs and also warned that if they compromised with the construction materials.

Himachal is boosting to set up a modern education hub in the state, but such facilities and deplorable infrastructure is hard reality, which unwillingly we have to acknowledge.
