Special Protection Officers (SPO) deployed on the border areas of district Chamba will get weekly off besides getting advance of Rs. 2000 per annum during training and weapons maintenance period. Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal announces it at historic Chougan of Chamba town while speaking on the closing ceremony of week long international Minjar fair.

Chief Minister said that State had engaged the services of 470 SPOs who had been rendering valuable services in protecting the State frontiers besides keeping strict vigil over anti-social and anti-national elements entering the State.
