In India, we witness superstition in some form or the other each day, Himachal doesn’t often fall prey to such idiosyncrasy, but it did yesterday when a 22-year-old pilgrim from Fatehpur, UP tried to behead himself in order to offer his head to the Goddess Jwalamukhi in the Jwalamukhi temple.
DSP Paras Rams said Raj Kumar (the pilgrim) took out a sword and attempted to offer his head before the goddess before the temple security staff and other pilgrims stopped him from doing so.
Raj Kumar was still able to slit his throat and it started bleeding, owing to which he was rushed to the Tanda Medical College
