Chief Minister gave a clarion call to the people of the State to save the bird, flora and fauna to maintain ecological balance. He was speaking after inaugurating a three-day long photo exhibition jointly put up by Somesh Goel, Additional Director General of Police, Manjula Mathur, Gobind Bhardwaj and Umang Dutt at the Gaiety Theatre here today.

Chief Minister said that exhibitions had been instrumental in exhibiting the rare objects to the viewers and motivates them to sensitize the society about various anti-social and anti environment activities. He said that a strong message percolates down to the grass root level through the photographs and exhibits to awaken the society, especially youth of the country inspiring them to come forward and contribute significantly towards the social and environmental causes. He said that birds were major ingredient of the ecology of the universe and with the change in weather conditions a number of species were at the verge of extinct. He said that the exhibition exhibited some of the rare birds which were not normally visible to naked eyes to the people. He hoped that the exhibition would be visited by bird lovers from all walks of life, especially the young school children who would be the real ambassadors to protect them.
