Government Medical College Tanda

Health Minister Dr. Rajeev Bindal announced that Dr. R.P. Government Medical College, Tanda has been enlisted as WHO Collaborating Centre in India for specialties in AYUSH role in NCDs, Health Promotion and Training of AYUSH practitioners under National Programmes. It makes Government Medical College Tanda one of the 19 institutions established as WHO Collaborating Centres for grant of fellowships and the only such centre in northern India.

Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, is training doctors and other health professionals under the WHO fellowship program in India as well as in other countries. He said that the skills thus acquired by WHO sponsored training should be utilized to improve the Health services in the country.
