The Himachal Pradesh High Court has given another blow for Jaiprakash Associates Ltd’s as hon’ble Court has dismissed its review petitions that had been filed for allowing the civil structure built for establishing a thermal plant for other purposes and reconsidering the Rs 100 crore damages imposed for setting up a cement plant in violation of green laws.
While dismissing the review petition, a division bench of Justice Deepak Gupta and Justice Sanjay Karol said:
Both the review petitions (by infrastructure group Jaiprakash Associates Ltd.) are being disposed of by a common order since review sought is of the same judgment and the issues involved are identical. We are of the considered view that this is only an attempt to reopen the matter and there is no error apparent on the face of the record
For violating green law, green bench of High Court had imposed Rs 100 crore fines and has ordered to dismantle the structure made for the thermal project.
