In order to provide better services to the tourists in the coming summer season, the Department of Tourism & Civil Aviation meets with the hoteliers, travel agents and various Hotel Associations of the State, and discusses the various aspect of it. Meeting was presided by the Director, Tourism and Civil Aviation Dr. Arun Kumar Sharma.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sharma said that the objective of the meeting was to actively involve the private stake holders of the tourism industry. Suggestions were given by the hoteliers and travel agents to the department for improving the services provided to the visiting tourists. Dr. Sharma said that hoteliers were requested to make optimum utilization of solar heating system in the hotels. He also stressed the need to install rain water harvesting structures in hotels so that conservation and optimum utilization of rain water was ensured.
Hoteliers assured that the services of Heli Taxi shall be utilized and they will actively get involve to promote the heli-services of the State. Among others the meeting was attended by the MD, HPTDC, all the District Tourism Development Officers and Officers of the Directorate.
