Shimla: Chief Minister designate Jairam Thakur today distributed fruits to the children and patients at Deen Dayal Upadhaya hospital, Shimla on occasion of birthday of former Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

He also announced a digital x-ray machine for the hospital.

Accompanied by MLAs Dr. Rajeev Bindal, Suresh Bhardwaj, Vinod Kumar and Member of Parliament, Ram Swaroop Sharma, the Chief Minister visited the children ward. He also met other patients admitted in different wards of the hospital and enquired about their well-being.

The Chief Minister paid courtesy visit to Raj Bhawan and held discussion with Governor Acharaya Devvrat.

He later took stock of the arrangements of Prime Ministers visit for the oath taking ceremony on 27 December at the Historic ridge.

Later, Chief Minister also met the blood donors in the blood donation camp organised by Umang Foundation at Ridge.
