A delegation of Language Teachers, who have qualified Teacher Eligibility Test (TET), called on the Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh at Shimla today and apprised him that TET for TGTs, Arts, Science (Medical and Non-Medical), Shastri and Language Teachers was conducted in December, 2011 through H.P. Subordinate Selection Board, Hamirpur.

They informed Chief Minister that the other categories were given batch-wise appointments except Language Teachers. The previous Government remained busy in framing R&P Rules and Language Teachers were deprived of appointments, they added.

Delegation said that as many as 2945 Language Teachers had qualified TET in the State, but the Education Department was going to conduct second TET for them, which was unfair and injustice with Language Teachers. They urged the Chief Minister to give appointments on batch-wise basis to the Language Teachers who had already qualified the TET.

Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh assured the delegation that their demands would be considered sympathetically.
