Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh launched the ‘One District One Police Station’ (ODPS) pilot project from Dharamshala.

Chief Minister said that this project was aimed at benefiting the public and it would ensure quality and timely reporting to ensure speedy delivery of justice to the people. He said that forensic science was playing a vital role in delivering justice in criminal cases.

Virbhadra Singh said that it was first of its kind in the country being launched during the silver jubilee year of HPFSL. The regional forensic science laboratory (RFSL) was on the mailing list of RCMP Journal Canada and FBI News Bulletin, USA. He said that the first district in northern range and police station selected by the department was Sadar Thana, Dharamshala.

Town and Country Planning Minister Sudhir Sharma, MLA’s Sanjay Rattan and Pawan Kajal and Dr. Arun Sharma, Director, FSL were also present on the occasion.
