AICC General Secretary and in-charge of Himachal Pradesh, Chowdhary Barinder Singh said in a press conference that Congress president Sonia Gandhi will address a series of public meetings in Himachal Pradesh in September in the run-up to the Assembly polls scheduled in November. He added that to bring Congress back to power in the state Virbhadra Singh has been appointed the new president.
Chowdhary admitted that Virbhadra Singh was the tallest Congress leader in the state and able to bring party back in power in Himachal, he also added that Singh can also contest forthcoming elections.
