In effort to add to the quality health infrastructural facilities for the public, Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal today offered the lately constructed Himachal Sewa Sadan in Sector 25 West, in Chandigarh to the people (patients) of Himachal Pradesh to facilitate them with best boarding and lodging facilities in the UT. The third of its kind building in Chandigarh, the Sewa Sedan has been constructed at the cost of 10.5 crore, and is expected to develop into a home away from home for both patients and their attendants, who visit or are referred to specialized hospitals as PGI and Fortis etc.

Prof. Dhumal extended his gratitude to the administration of Chandigarh for providing the requisite space in Chandigarh to construct the Himachal Sewa Sadan that should provide the visiting patients and attendants with rooms at costs as nominal as Rs 500 a room and Rs 100 a bed in the dormitory. The fully air conditioned Sewa Sadan with 23 double bed rooms and 15 dormitories is registered under HP Societies Registration Act, 2008 and has all facilities like lift, canteen, kitchen, care taker residences, driver room and chowkidar rooms etc.
