Himachal Pradesh Petroleum Dealers Association, led by its President Sukumar Singh, meets Chief Minister Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal, and conveyed thank of the Association for reducing VAT on diesel from 14 percent to 9.70 percent which they said was a right step taken at the appropriate time.

Chief Minister apprised that this decision of the Government will result in loss of Rs. 40 crore to the State Exchequer. He said that Government’s endeavour was to benefit the common man from its decisions and programmes and it would not lag behind in protecting the interests of the people at any cost.
