The ongoing road construction has come under scanner once again. Notices have been issued by the HP High Court to the additional chief secretary (Forest) and the principal secretary (PWD) questioning the unscientific way of constructing roads by the state PWD and the Forest Department. Such a step comes after a report saying, “Road debris killing trees” sent waves through The Tribune. Without weighing the side effects, debris is being thrown down the slope which in turn is tearing down vegetation and the green belt. The next hearing is due on April 29.
