Himachal Pradesh School Education Board (HPBSE) has closed most of examination centres in private schools after getting complaints of cheating during the examinations. Board has only allowed 19 out of the 43 private schools to conduct the board exam. The board has also reduced the number of examinations centers from 1690 to 1589. Board exams are starting from 4th March. According to the official data 1,32,271 students are appearing for the 10th, 1,20,527 for 11th and 1,00,262 for 12th standard board exams. To check the menace of cheating, HPSEB has identified 200 sensitive centres and formed flying squads.
