Vice Regal Lodge
Description: Vice Regal Lodge is located on the Observatory Hills of Shimla. It was formerly the residence of the British Viceroy of India. It houses some of the most ancient articles and photographs going back to the times of the British rule in India.
The Vice Regal Lodge was designed by British architect Henry Irwin and built in the Jacobethan style during Lord Dufferin’s tenure as Viceroy. Its construction started in 1880 and was completed in 1888. Lord Dufferin occupied the lodge on 23 July 1888.

The pass is located only a few kilometers from the Tibet border.
The east part of the Borasu area comes out from Tons valley and the north-west part is merged with Baspa valley. Its north-west range comes down on Jhukia Glacier. The nearest village, Chitkul, is 20.3 km away from the pass on the Himachal (Kinnaur valley) side and Osla village on the Uttarakhand side of the pass.
