Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh has promised to provide more than 25,000 employment opportunities in the next two years in the government Sector.
The Chief Minister, while speaking at the State level celebrations of 69th Himachal Day function at Ghumarwin in district Bilaspur, claimed that the Government has provided employment to more than 60,000 people in Government and private sector during the last three years which include 27,000 employment in government sector alone.
Virbhadra Singh said since the formation of government priority has been given to providing employment to the unemployed youth both in government and private sector by enhancing their skills.
He said that 3,237 appointments were made in higher education sector besides 4,527 promotions and as many as 5,000 appointments were made in the elementary education department. Around 3,355 posts have been created for newly created or upgraded educational institutions and 1,775 posts for newly sanctioned medical colleges. He further added that 2,458 posts of various categories of doctors including specialists have been filled in health sector besides appointing 7,503 Asha workers. More than 1,300 appointments have been made in the police department alone, he added.
