The Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation Limited (HPTDC) will organize a Special Classical Fusion Music Night at its hotel Holiday Home (HHH), Shimla on 17th December, 2011. Mr. Subhash Ghosh, a renowned classical musician — the disciple of legendary Sarod Player Ustad Amjad Ali Khan will perform his musical melodies and harmonies of classical fusion music on his newly invented instrument – titled by him as Swar Ragini- a blend of Sitar, Guitar and Sarod. Designed, fabricated and carved by Ghosh, Swar Ragini is made of special wood called Tul, which is sourced from Assam and has a classical and western sound and appeal.

It will be a first time that a classical ensemble is being held by HPTDC in its hotel in the State Capital for the tourist’s and class of music seekers at large. The Corporation will entertain the visitors with Himachali cuisines and various other dishes on the occasion of the said event. However, this would be a beginning of the series of the musical programmes being organized by HPTDC during the upcoming X-Mass and New Year Eves. The Special Classical Fusion Night would commence at 7 PM and onward.
