Himachal Pradesh High Court has given three weeks time to the Himachal government to act over delays and inaction in granting prosecution sanctions against tainted officers. Hon,ble court has directed Chief Secretary Rajwant Sandhu to take a final decision in three weeks. The Chief Secretary has also been asked to inform the court about compliance of its orders through an affidavit. Dealing with a petition relating to corrupt officers, who were reinstated and given plum posts by the government despite vigilance cases pending against them, a division bench comprising Chief Justice Kurian Joseph and Justice VK Ahuja noted that there are still six cases pending for grant of prosecution sanctions. These cases are pending for more than three months.
