Dhanpur area public of district Hamirpur is annoyed with the government due to transfer of Dairy Project from here to Dhaulakuan. The dairy project is a part of Krishi Vigyan Kander situated here. As per the incharge of the establishment Dr. Anand Singh, this is a temporary step taken due to shortage of water and green grass. He added that the cattle are going to be shifted to our other units. Dr. Singh said the dairy project will be back as soon as the problems will be over ruled. It is also important to state that if government cattle management unit can not survive here than Doodh Ganga Project of government is also in interrogations here. Whereas grievances of the public are that they are not only seeking milk from the farm but the farmers were taking cattle management guidelines time to time. This farm has overcome the milk deficiency problem of the area not only by its production but becoming a source of inspiration to farmers in the area too. Owing to them if a government establishment will run away from this place than how farmers can be motivated to adopt Doodh Ganga Project of the state government in this area. People have alleged that this victimization of the area is to be done because the MLA of the area is of opposition. Peoples have also stated that either government should not shift the farm or if cattle management is not possible in the area than poor farmers may not be motivated to seek loan for Doodh Ganga Project.
