On the recommended by the 13th finance commission to improve justice delivery system the Himachal Pradesh High Court has appointed eight court managers. The recommendation of appointing professionally qualified court managers was made by the 13th Finance Commission in its report. These managers appointment is vital as they will assist and support judges. These all new appointees are management graduates. The main task of these new managers is to evaluate the compliance of standards set by superior courts which will consequently improve the efficiency of court management and in turn expedite disposal of cases. The court managers will support the judges in performing their administrative duties, thereby enabling the judges to devote more time to their judicial functions. Rs 300 crore has already been allocated for the appointment of these managers to the Supreme Court and 21 High Courts in the country. Himachal is allotted about Rs. 5.8 crores for its High Court and eleven district courts.
