Despite fantastic unbeaten century from in-form batsman Paras Dogra, Himachal Pradesh have to settled with lone point as Goa walked away with three points by virtue of taking the first-innings lead in their Ranji Trophy Group C match, played at District Institute of Education and Training Ground, Porvorim of Goa. This is Dogra’s 5th century in his last seven outings.

Paras Dogra struck a defiant 205-ball 119 not out, while Mukesh Sharma (51 not out) also showed a lot of determination as both steered their side to a draw on the final day. In the first inning Mukesh Sharma also hit a fantastic half century and consolidated a good partnership with Amit Kumar.

Himachal Pradesh are sixth on the table with 12 points, while Goa have moved up to seventh place with an equal number of points but they have played a game less than Himachal.

Himachal had scored 338 in their first innings to which the hosts replied by making 347, thereby taking a lead of nine runs which proved crucial in deciding the outcome of the match.
